My goal is to empower people to get in control of their television viewing. The US national average for watching TV is 4 hours 32 minutes per day, according to Nielsen. Great website, Katherine! I like your passion and look forward to exploring www.trashyourtv.com. As a father of 3 sons (ages 5 Y, 1 Y, and 9 months), I am concerned about how much TV they watch and have often considered trashing our TV. I am not even sure we should have bought all those Baby Einstein videos (we have something like 10 of them).

Awesome website. I've bookmarked it so I can spend more time exploring it later. I totally agree with your assessment. I also think it's funny that you call the tv a 'piece of furniture'. Ha!
